Paul Weller joins Liam Gallagher in rage trade

Paul Weller and Liam Gallagher have gone into business together.

The two rock stars are now working for the fashion label they call Pretty Green.

Pretty Green was founded by Liam Gallagher as 'an upfront, straight talking, classic British clothing range.'

According to the Pretty Green website 'The range is all subject to Liam’s final approval and includes designs across footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, t-shirts, hats, scarves and exclusive limited edition pieces'.

Weller will contribute to new designs in the future. 'I come from a time when everyone dressed up,' he said in a statement. 'Every kid on my estate dressed to the nines every day. People today though dress for comfort, which doesn't always look the best. Trackies, jeans and trainers... I grew up with a different set of values and outlook. I've always loved clothes. I've loved the clothes as much as the music of the time. They've always gone hand in hand to me - if I loved a band I loved the way they looked too."

Celine Dion is pregnant with twins

The ’Think Twice’ singer and her husband Rene Angelil - who already have nine-year-old son Rene-Charles together - are preparing to extend their brood after their sixth round of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) was successful.

Celine is currently 14 weeks pregnant and the couple are expected to find out the se of their babies next month.

Rene told People.com: "We're ecstatic. Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing!"

The 42-year-old songstress has had an emotional few months as she tried to have more children with her 68-year-old spouse.

Last August the couple announced they were expecting a child following a successful round of IVF, but in November her spokesperson confirmed the pregnancy had failed.

Just days ago Celine hinted there was some 'good news' to come about a second pregnancy.
She said: "Well we're crossing our fingers. We're waiting for good news hopefully. I don't want to talk about it so much because I'm superstitious, but I know people have been very wonderful for us and praying for us. Right now we are crossing our fingers, we hope for the best and I can't wait to give people good news."

The French-Canadian star deliberately didn’t want to release information about her bump until she was sure she was pregnant.

She added: "Once you live in showbusiness and everything spreads out so quick and every pregnancy you have to wait three months to make sure it's all ok and it's nerve racking. We're not getting any younger and you always think it's your last chance, you're last try.'

Create your own dream gig with Cancer Research

Young music fans and aspiring artists are being given the chance to win and curate their very own exclusive gig – complete with the chance to pick its line-up and location – as part of skindividual, the bold online music initiative from Cancer Research UK.

The skindividual competition from SunSmart, the charity’s skin cancer awareness programme, will task music lovers with dreaming up the most creative gig idea that links live music with a message to young people about not getting caught out by sunburn.

The best idea will be turned into reality this summer.. Electropop, indie, hip hop or RnB - it’s completely your call. Not only will the winner get the chance to create and host their own event, but they could also find themselves performing at it too.

The winner will be assigned their own team of live music experts – including artist booking agents, gig promoters and web designers – to help them turn their vision into reality. They will also be given access to some of the best brains in the music industry, such as NME editor Krissi Murison, Radio 1 Xtra presenter Max Akhtar, Bestival director Ben Turner, Jason Legg, Head of Live music at HMV, Rockness festival director Jim King, Ben Fender, MD of top event producers Drive Productions, and Sophie Epstone, founder of music and fashion youth cancer charity Trekstock.

The skindividual initiative aims to encourage young people to protect their skin from sunburn this summer. The competition has been launched in response to rising rates of malignant melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, among young people in the UK. Rates of malignant melanoma have more than doubled among young people in the past 20 years, and it is now the most common form of cancer in Britain among 15-34 year olds.

This original and unique venue will be a one-stop-shop for music lovers and followers of the edgiest club nights that London has to offer, courtesy of high profile live acts and DJs accompanied by the cream of the crop in blossoming talent.

Perfect for those constantly hunting down the next best thing, the intimate 175 capacity venue will be the new home of cutting-edge quality music in the capital before it fires up its engine and moves down the tracks of history to its next location. The Silver Bullet is a temporary fixture on the scene and such a nomadic existence will make for a venue that never has the chance to let its moment in the spotlight wane or become routine, resulting in a consistently fresh experience for those who make the most of its temporary residence.

Award-winning interior designers DTwo Design will conceptualise a fitting atmosphere for The Silver Bullet's temporary and music-focused character. This, coupled with the location’s excellent transport links (with tube and 24 hours buses right outside the door) will make for an enviable and stress-free experience for all music addicts whether they’re popping in for a quick pint on the way home from work and want to catch a new band or for a full-blown party night.

The 36-year-old model – who raises four children Leni, six, Henry, four, Johan, three and seven-month-old Lou with husband Seal - admits she worries about her weight and appearance, but doesn’t think her concerns are anything out of the ordinary.

She said: 'We all have the same issues. Every woman. It’s thighs, butt, arms, muffintops. All those fun things, we all have the same issues.'

The 'Project Runway’ host also revealed that her family like to make personalised gifts and cards to mark special occasions.

Speaking about forthcoming Father’s Day in the US, she told Hollywoodlife.com: 'Probably we’ll do something fun like the children will maybe draw something or make a poster or a painting or something. Usually we do arts and crafts.'

Heidi – who has two maternity lines, Loved and Lavish for A Pea in the Pod – has encouraged pregnant women not to lose their sense of style when they are carrying a baby.

She said: "It shouldn't change when you're pregnant that all of a sudden you have to wear a moo moo and call it a day."

Justin Bieber was once brought home by the police

villagers
The 16-year-old singer got in trouble with the authorities when he was younger after he and his friend snuck outside in the middle of the night, not realising there was a curfew in the area.

He said: 'I snuck out once. My friend slept over and we were like, 'Let’s go out.’ We just went biking and were being stupid but we weren’t doing anything bad.

'But the police saw us and brought me back home, because there was a curfew on the area! It was two in the morning and I got grounded for a month! That’s the worse trouble I’ve ever been in.'

Now he’s famous, the 'Baby’ hitmaker always tries to be on his best behaviour but admits it’s not always easy.

He told Top of the Pops magazine: 'Well, I try not to be rude, but people push and push you. I was at this photo shoot and these guys were like, 'Put this on, it looks really cool,’ and I was like, 'I don’t really like that, I don’t wanna wear that.’ This is me, I wear a hoodie, I’m just easy.'

Russell Brand thinks he should get an Oscar

Russell Brand thinks he should get an Oscar for his performance in 'Get Him to the Greek’.

The British funnyman thinks his portrayal of fictional rocker Aldous Snow in the comedy movie is worthy of an Academy Award and if he doesn’t get one he will quit making movies.

He joked in an interview with PopEater.com: 'I’m hoping to get an Oscar for this. I don’t want to jinx it, but there’s a real Oscar buzz around the film. A lot of people have been talking about Oscars. They’re saying that I might get one. Hopefully, I’ll get an Oscar and if I don’t get it I might not make films anymore.'

Russell – who stars in the movie with Jonah Hill and P. Diddy – thinks the Academy Awards should have a category for hard work.

He quipped: 'I think effort should be rewarded at the Oscars, because how are we supposed to say to kids it’s the trying that counts, if then I don’t get an Oscar it’s going to disappoint a lot of kids... If I don’t get one, I’ll say, 'Hold on, I’m trying my hardest, so how about an Oscar? It’s only a little thing, make me an extra one. A new category – try that.’ '

The rapper-and-presenter admits his superstar spouse lives up to her demanding reputation and he claims she takes five hours to get ready when they go out.

Nick said in an interview on 'Lopez Tonight’: 'Imagine if you've got the diva of all divas. If we’ve got to be somewhere at five or six o'clock, I tell her it's time to go at noon so she gets those five hours to do what she needs to do.'

Although she likes to keep him waiting, the 29-year-old star has never been happier and says he and Mariah, 41, are always having fun.

He added: 'We are both kids at heart. She is the funniest person ever and she has a great sense of humour. We connect at a spiritual level.'

Nick is also adamant the 12-year age gap between him and Mariah isn’t a problem, because he has always preferred women that have been 'a little older' than him.

He said: "I even lost my virginity to an older lady. She was in high school and I was in junior high."

Nick Jonas is set to make debut in ‘Les Miserables’

The 17-year-old Jonas Brothers singer will play the part of Marius in Britain’s longest-running musical at the Queen’s Theatre in the prestigious West End district for a three-week period from June 21st.

Nick was first earmarked for the role when he was just 10 years old after being spotted by producer Cameron Mackintosh playing Gavroche in the production’s run on New York’s Broadway.

Cameron told the Daily Mail newspaper: 'I went up to him at the closing night party in New York and told him he was terrific and hoped that one day he would return to play Marius. We've been in touch a lot and, of course, since then he has become this world-famous star.

'He and his father and I agreed that it would be great if he came and played Marius here in London.'

Cameron has praised Nick for his commitment to the production, as the 'Fly With Me’ hitmakers broke off from a concert tour to allow their brother to appear in the West End show.

Cameron explained: 'He has bent over backwards to fit it all into his schedule.'

Ozzy Osbourne scares fans to into Scream

Mick Jagger happy with his excessive lifestyle

Sir Mick Jagger isn't horrified by the excessive lifestyle he used to live.

The Rolling Stones frontman insists he still has strong memories of the band’s hedonistic period around the recording of their iconic 1972 album 'Exile on Main Street’ – which has just been reissued - but doesn’t regret any part of the period.

He said: "I'm not really horrified, it was just part of your life then. I just look at it and think, 'Yeah I remember that. We did this and we did that.' So what? And now we do something else.

'There were loads of drugs... but everyone had their own drug habits which they weren't necessarily sharing with everyone else. It's pretty vivid. I wasn't that out-of-it that I don't remember. I can recall most of it pretty well considering some of the stuff. Blimey!"

The 66-year-old rocker – whose bandmate Keith Richards is currently writing an autobiography – can’t understand why people choose to write their memoirs – unless they receive a big pay cheque.

He told Q magazine: "I don't really like the idea of doing it. Doing this, going back and looking at 'Exile' it's kind of great, but it's quite taxing. Some of it's fun... but to do more, I'm not sure how excited I really feel about it, digging into your own past. Apart from getting paid, I don't know what you really get out of it."

Ronnie Wood’s bandmates thought Katia Ivanova was bad news

Ronnie Wood’s bandmates thought Katia Ivanova was bad for him.

The 62-year-old musician – who recently revealed he has been sober for 60 days following a lengthy battle with alcoholism – is now dating Brazilian beauty Ana Araujo, 30, and his group The Faces think she is a much better influence on him than the Russian cocktail waitress was.

The Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan told Rolling Stone magazine: "Ronnie had been struggling and quite frankly I think he was with the wrong girl for a while. His girlfriend now is so encouraging and helpful to him and she’s right for him.

'I’m a drinker and after rehearsals me and Ronnie went out and I thought he was going to weaken. He said, 'You can have a drink,' and I said, 'Not if you aren't.' He used the expression, 'I think I’ve found my grace,' which I think says it all. We were drinking partners and now that’s gone, but he’s just as much fun without a drink."

Ronnie ended his tempestuous 15-month relationship with Katia, 21, at the end of last year, embarking on a romance with Ana soon after.

Pals have previously spoken of the positive effect Anna has had on the rocker.

One friend said: "She is such a positive influence on him and they've very relaxed in each other's company. They're happy enjoying the simple things in life like staying in, making meals and watching films.

"He couldn't be happier.'

'She arrived at the club with Swizz Beats, who was dressed very smartly in black tie and they gazed adoringly at each other in the V.I.P. area.

The 'Alejandro' singer – who is currently back in the UK for the second time on her 'Monster Ball' tour – went to The Prince of Wales pub on Wednesday (26.05.10), and treated locals to a round of drinks and left a huge tip at the bar.

A source inside the pub told the Sun newspaper: "Everyone was stunned when this striking blonde came in. Most of the blokes had no idea who she was at first.

"She sat at the bar with a pal for two hours, downing spirits and scribbling notes. She told the locals how much she was enjoying having a drink on a day off because she can't handle drinking before a show.

"She signed autographs for staff and left a huge tip – a few hundred pounds."

The 24-year-old took to twitter to talk about her time in the pub, and confessed she was writing a new song there.

She wrote: "In a Pub in England, ruining bar napkins with lyrics and memories. Dreams are never weak like we are, drunk or sober.(sic)"

The 'Get Him to the Greek’ star is delighted that his singer fiancee can match his high sex drive, but thinks she is currently lacking too much in the culinary department to be the perfect wife.

He said: "Katy is sexy, which is good because if I don't have an orgasm every 15 or 16 minutes, I can become very difficult. But, if she's going to marry me, she's going to learn how to cook.'

The 34-year-old funnyman also claimed Katy should be delighted by his previous womanising ways as the fact he has now chosen monogamy proves how much he loves her.

He told Parade.com: "I said, 'Katy, you need to know, I'm not virgin. In fact, if you're counting, the list of my sexual escapades is mind-boggling. But these women will be celebrated for ever more. And they will live on in my imagination.'

The singer – whose new single 'Not Myself Tonight' shows the pop star in a number of racy and provocative outfits – admitted shooting the video for the raunchy song was "torture" because of the tight latex clothing.

She said: "For my video shoot I didn't go to bed until five in the morning... in the freezing rain, in the cold, wearing a two-piece red latex outfit. Torture! I got nauseous with exhaustion from the video shoot. It was just a long day. Did I get a skin allergy from the latex? I did get a little bit of a rash at one point. Where? Next question!"

The 29-year-old beauty – who has a two-year-old son, Max, with her music producer husband Jordan Bratman – admitted her spouse loves to see her in fetish clothing, although she wouldn't like it if he tried to return the favour.

She said: "It's beautiful...I'm really into fetish gear and latex is really making a strong statement for me. Good body contours. Has my husband worn it? I would not know! And I'll never know! You don't want to get your b**ls caught in that."

The only time Christina hasn't worn such provocative outfits is when she was pregnant.

She added to Q magazine: 'Have I ever toned it down? Never! Well, maybe when I was pregnant. There was no latex then."

Wyclef Jean urges Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to adopt a child from Haiti

Wyclef Jean has urged Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to adopt a child from Haiti.

The singer has appealed to his friends – who have three adopted children and three biological kids – to take on the care of an impoverished youngster from his earthquake-stricken home nation.

He said: 'Brad and Angie, please! Please adopt a child from Haiti!

"I have so many celebrity friends who have really supported this cause and who continue to support this cause. Our job is to help those little kids, to give them a chance. If we give them a chance they'll have a better tomorrow."

However, Angelina has already admitted that while she and Brad are keen to adopt children from all over the world – their non-biological kids are from Vietnam, Cambodia and Ethiopia – adopting a Haitian child is not something they are currently considering.

She previously said: 'I'm always open to children around the world. We're that kind of family. Brad and I talk about that. But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means.'

In February, the couple travelled to the country – which was hit by a devastating earthquake the previous month – and donated $1 million through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation to Doctors Without Borders.

Dominic Cooper frolics with Lindsay Lohan in Cannes

Dominic Cooper had fun with Lindsay Lohan at the Cannes Film Festival

The 31-year-old actor – who is currently taking a break from his relationship with Amanda Seyfried – enjoyed dancing with the actress at a concert by legendary performer Grace Jones.

Asked about Lindsay, Dominic told BANG Showbiz: 'Yeah she was there, she was dancing - we were all dancing, it was Grace Jones! Grace was three hours late. Fantastic. But she should be, she was wonderful.'

The British star also admits he had a great time in the French Mediterranean resort, but couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by his lavish surroundings.

He said: 'I was in awe of Cannes. I was on a yacht with submarines attached!'

Dominic and his 'Mamma Mia!’ co-star girlfriend Amanda went on a break last week, but are trying to work out their problems.

A source said: 'Amanda and Dominic have been on and off for a while – and right now they’re taking a break. But they’re great friends and could still get back together.

They still talk all the time and are trying to work things out. There is no drama. They are just on a break.'

Stephen Gately's widower gets estate

Stephen Gately's widower Andy Cowles will receive nearly £1 million from his husband’s estate.

The Boyzone singer – who died in Majorca last October as a result of a congenital heart defect - didn't leave a will at the time of his death, but according to figures released yesterday (26.05.10) by the Probate Registry, Andy will still receive the huge sum.

Although mystery had surrounded Stephen's lack of a will, including reports at the time of his death that a version of it had gone missing, his internet entrepreneur civil partner will inherit £450,000 outright, as well as half of the rest of Stephen's estate – worth £519,910 – and his personal possessions.

Andy, 32, spoke only days after his partner's death saying he wouldn't inherit any of his fortune because he wanted the money to go to either family or charity.

Despite this, the parents of the Irish star – who left behind £1.5 million after £2 million worth of debts were cleared – will receive half of his £519,910 estate.

His sister Michelle and brothers Alan, Mark and Tony will receive nothing.

Stephen and Andy met in 2002 and a year later had a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas, before entering into a civil partnership in 2006.
